HUMELANI Trading and Projects is a Black-owned biodiesel manufacturing company with 40% shareholding belonging to a woman that was formed in 2007 to culminate the business planning and process development of the past 5 years that its team members have been involved in. The company operates from Ekandustria in Bronkhorstspruit, Gauteng province, South Africa.

Our production facility has a capability of 1 million litres per annum and is designed to process a wide range of vegetable oil feedstocks. We are a registered biodiesel producer that produces quality biodiesel from used vegetable/cooking oil and animal fats only in accordance to the South African Biodiesel Standard SANS 1935:2004. We are also a company that operates within the OH&S guidelines and performs all its work within the environmental and quality management systems at all the times.

Humelani is an indigenous African word, which means Success in XiTsonga. The Company’s strategy is to consolidate its intellectual and material resources in the renewable energy and water sectors, with current focus on biodiesel production.

Humelani are the 2009 Enablis FNB Seda Business Plan Launchpad Competition finalist in the Green Energy category.
